ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The Painter Jacket is an iconic and timeless piece. It was first worn by workers and railwaymen and since 1968, students and other classes of the society have seized the trend. In the 19th century, the outfit consisted of a simple blouse and a belt. It then evolves towards overalls since it was viewed as more practical and protective. Eventually, the Painter Jacket evolved into a new form: a two-piece work suit with work blue jacket and trousers.

Our version comes in a pre-washed and sunny dried 100% Cotton. More specifically, our fabric is a heavy and rigid 522G (18,4 OZ) cotton fabric produced by the Japanese company Shibaya which produces unique finishings with the Japanese traditional methods. The jacket exhibits our Grosgrain as shoulder straps on the inside that allow to wear it as a backpack, keeping your arms free.

Manufactured near Porto in Portugal by Texmin.
